In practice, there are more doubts than certainties.<br>Who hires is the Product Owner, Scrum Master or Development Team?<br>Who fires?<br>What training will the team do?<br>Can we change our tools?<br>Scrum, being a framework, does not prescribe these attributions.<br>They vary according to the organization and culture of each company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditionally, these responsibilities reside in the figure of the manager who is not a role handled by Scrum.<br>However, when we look to have a high performance team, we want it to be truly self-organized and self-managed.<br>Consequently, autonomous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There lies the question: how much can a manager delegate his attributions to the team?<br>We tend to think of delegation of responsibility as something like this: <strong>all or nothing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Explain the Practice<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s consider an example for 6 activities that we would like an answer on how it will be organized.<br>Examples of activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New projects<br>Technology adoption<br>Ceremonies schedule<br>Definition of solutions<br>Exhibit Results<br>Choose supplier<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(1=Tell, 2=Sell, 3=Consult, 4=Agree, 5=Advise, 6=Inquire, 7=Delegate)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"638\" height=\"479\" src=\"http:\/\/ttrivelato.com.br\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/delegation-poker-tel.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-242\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ttrivelato.com.br\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/delegation-poker-tel.jpg 638w, http:\/\/ttrivelato.com.br\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/delegation-poker-tel-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the table below, as a team, we can define how the tasks will be organized\/delegated by the team:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This makes communication fluid and everyone feels responsible for the decisions made for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Why did you decide to use this practice<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the mentality of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/ttrivelato.com.br\/me\/category\/managemen-3-0\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/ttrivelato.com.br\/me\/category\/managemen-3-0\/\" target=\"_blank\">dynamics inserted<\/a> and embedded with the employees, we decided to take the next step and together with them define how the tasks will be delegated to the team.<br>With the dynamics of delegation poker, we are able to make our collaborators co-create and feel responsible for the whole.<br>Our main objective was to engage employees and make communication fluid.<br>The group becomes responsible for the whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We held the ceremony with the payment team to decide how the following tasks will be delegated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New projects<br>Technology adoption<br>Ceremonies schedule<br>Definition of solutions<br>Exhibit Results<br>Choose supplier<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How did you use this practice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We join the team on a board(<a href=\"https:\/\/miro.com\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/miro.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">miro<\/a>) already used for other dynamics exposed here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After defining the task groups with the support of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/management30.com\/practice\/okrs\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/management30.com\/practice\/okrs\/\" target=\"_blank\">OKRS<\/a>:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New projects<br>Technology adoption<br>Ceremonies schedule<br>Definition of solutions<br>Exhibit Results<br>Choose supplier<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>We organize the tasks and, together with the team, we delegate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"746\" height=\"514\" src=\"http:\/\/ttrivelato.com.br\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/delegation-board.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-243\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ttrivelato.com.br\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/delegation-board.png 746w, http:\/\/ttrivelato.com.br\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/delegation-board-300x207.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 746px) 100vw, 746px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, the payment team was being used for the tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is essential that all parties involved are in the dynamic. Otherwise, there will be no engagement of the absent party.<br>There will be two rounds. What changes is the question: what level of delegation would we like to have?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Important point!
